This is an operational draft based on the current product and is not legal advice. Final review by counsel for Korea and the countries served is required before production publication.

1. Purpose and operator

These Terms govern SoriCue Transcribe, operated by the Korean sole proprietor 엘레노어마튼, represented by 주민재.

Business registration number: 568-39-01427. Address: Room 404, 47 Nambusunhwan-ro 210-gil, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea. Support and privacy contact: soricue@gmail.com.

The service is entirely free and does not currently sell goods or paid services, so there is no Korean mail-order business registration disclosure. Applicability, registration, and required notices will be reviewed before any paid offering is introduced.

2. Service and fees

The service is currently free. It provides browser-based online and offline transcription, local record management, and user-directed transfers to external speech-to-text and AI services.

You can create colour-coded fixed or recurring schedules in `/schedule` and manage them in daily, weekly, and monthly views without a Biz PT account or capture extension. A Biz PT weekly schedule may optionally be imported into the same view, and its current/original title and times, recording settings, hidden state, and recurrence changes can be restored on another computer signed into the same SoriCue account. Enabling automatic recording, creating a manual schedule, importing Biz PT, or connecting a device does not itself start recording. Each enabled occurrence can start and stop recording and live transcription only while you have separately prepared that day's microphone and system-audio sources.

Free availability does not guarantee that all features will remain free. Before introducing paid features, we will separately disclose pricing, payment, and cancellation terms and obtain any consent required by law.

3. Accounts and age

  • Current public sign-up uses Google OAuth and Supabase Auth. Existing GitHub or email accounts may use the preserved sign-in paths.
  • You must use an accurate account and protect access to your authentication methods and devices.
  • You must be at least 14. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age, you must meet that higher age.
  • We may temporarily restrict an account and request verification if account misuse or an authentication bypass is suspected.

4. External STT/AI services and your API keys

When you select Groq, OpenAI, or an external summarization service, audio, transcripts, prompts, and your API key may be sent directly to that provider. Its own terms, pricing, and privacy policy apply.

The optional double-prompt workflow opens two separate new conversations and submits the transcript with a different prompt to each so both responses can generate in parallel. Scheduled-recording consent, the unified ChatGPT/Gemini/Claude paste and automatic-submit consent, and the separate double-prompt consent are independent.

You must have the right to use every API key and item of content. You are responsible for checking provider charges, limits, output accuracy, and retention. We do not warrant an external provider's availability or results.

5. Local storage and backups

In the current product mode, transcripts, settings, user API keys, and device-bound alarms, runs, and execution snapshots are generally stored on your browser device. User-scoped manual schedule series and device-free Biz PT schedules/settings use the configured Supabase project as durable account sources, with execution/recovery copies synchronized to SoriCue-origin localStorage and the connected current user/device binding's extension-private storage. SoriCue provides no server backup for transcripts.

If you enable MP3, audio inside the recording interval is written to the local folder you select and is not uploaded to the SoriCue server. Device-data purge and account deletion may not remove local MP3 files, which you must manage in your file system.

Browser-data deletion, device loss, browser reset, or storage corruption can remove your data. Export and separately keep anything you need.

6. Prohibited conduct

  • Violating law or another person's privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, recording, or communications rights
  • Malware, disruption, excessive automated requests, bypassing security or usage controls, or abusive reverse engineering
  • Unauthorized use of accounts, API keys, or content, or processing unlawful or harmful content
  • Misrepresenting an affiliation with the service or operator

7. Changes, suspension, and restrictions

We may change, restrict, or suspend features for security, law, provider changes, maintenance, or product improvement. We will give reasonable advance in-service notice of foreseeable material changes.

For urgent security incidents, unlawful activity, or provider outages, we may act first and provide notice afterward where practicable.

8. Intellectual property and user content

The service software, design, marks, and operator-created materials belong to the operator or their respective rightsholders.

You must hold the rights needed for content you submit, import, store, record, or transcribe. This includes authority to store member or student names and schedule times that may appear in Biz PT titles as a SoriCue account source. We do not take ownership of user content beyond the limited processing needed to perform your request.

The same responsibility applies to scheduled recording. You must give class or meeting participants appropriate notice and obtain every consent and permission required by applicable law for recording, transcription, and any optional external-AI transfer. `Prepare today's automatic recordings` is your feature consent to SoriCue and does not replace participant consent.

9. Disclaimers and liability

Speech recognition and AI output may be incomplete or wrong and must not be the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, safety, or similarly important decisions. You must review the output.

To the extent permitted by law, and absent wilful misconduct or gross negligence, liability is limited for indirect or special loss arising from the free service, external providers, your device or network, or failure to keep backups.

Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including applicable rights concerning wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or mandatory consumer law.

10. Account deletion

You may request account deletion in Settings after reauthenticating with Google. Completion deletes this device's local data for the account, central manual and Biz PT schedule sources, central authorization and consent data, and the Supabase Auth user and email. A partial failure is not shown as success and may be retried. Final erasure of Supabase backup copies follows the project's backup-cycling policy.

SoriCue cannot delete data already sent to an external STT/AI provider or connected account; you must delete it there. Records that law requires us to keep may be isolated for the required period.

11. Changes to these Terms

We will post the effective date and reason for a change. Material changes affecting user rights receive reasonable advance notice, and we will request acceptance of the new version when required.

12. Governing law and mandatory overseas rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are resolved by the court with jurisdiction under applicable Korean procedure.

Mandatory consumer, privacy, jurisdiction, and dispute-resolution rights in the country where you live are not limited by these Terms.
